Rick Norris's Rio Grande Southern
Rick's spectacular pike reflects operations from Rico, Colorado to Vance Junction in the 1930s and 1940s. There are staging yards for Ridgeway and Durango, Colorado. The layout is in a 16’ by 24’ room; the layout height is between 45" to 60" high. Grade on the railroad is prototype 2 to 4%, on this mountainous trek through the Rockies.
Roadbed construction is homasote on spline roadbed. Scenery ranges from 36 inches to 96 inches above the floor. Construction uses the Bragdon foam on fiberglass screen.
