Just west of the Westin Hotel, the Eiteljorg is one of the premier museums celebrating the culture and artistic work of Native-Americans.  Special events and unique displays are scheduled throughout the year.

    Indianapolis is a family-friendly community!

Plan to enjoy Indianapolis during July 2016, and bring the entire family.  There will be plenty of activities for spouses, kids, and friends.  From the world's largest children's museum to downtown shopping, to the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the local zoo, to the visitors center at the NCAA headquarters to viewing Native-American art at the Eiteljorg, there are activities for all.  And on the evening of July 4th, the Hoosier state will be celebrating birthday #200.  Just look skyward!

The locations shown below, minus the Indy Motor Speedway, are a short walk from the Westin (headquarters) Hotel.  Additional attractions are hyper-linked below.  While attending the Highball To Indy '2016 convention, plan to also enjoy Indianapolis and other communities around central Indiana.

    Circle Center Mall

The largest shopping area in downtown Indy is connected to the Westin Hotel through a series of skywalks.

    Indiana Convention Center

The downtown of Indianapolis is connected by skywalks (to avoid any nasty weather!), including the Indiana Convention Center . . . the site of the National Train Show.

The "racing capital of the world", the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway is on the west side of town, at the corner of 16th Street and Georgetown Road.  The track and gift shops are open year-round.  Visitors can take a tour bus ride about the 2.5 mile oval, and garage tours are often scheduled.

The HTI '16 hosts will schedule numerous trips to the Speedway during the week of the 2016 NMRA Convention.  Or, while in town, plan to stop by this impressive facility on your own. www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com
