Silent Auction

 

This convention’s silent auction will be held in the Westin Hotel / Grand Ballroom 5 and is hosted by the 2016 National NMRA Convention Committee.

We will have a “Buy it Now” table for items that the seller wants to sell at their price with no bidding involved. These items will be separated from the regular silent auction and have separate tickets identifying the items. A cashier will be available to process “Buy it Now” sales whenever the auction room is open and will accept cash or credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover). Items placed on the “Buy it Now” table shall have minimum price of $10.00. Please group your items accordingly, no items priced less than $10.00 will be accepted for sale. All prices shall be in even dollar amounts, no change. A 15% commission will be charged to the seller at the time of settlement. Item registration info is available on line or at auction room.

We will have a traditional Silent Auction with a minimum starting bid of $10.00 and incremental bids of even dollar amounts (no change).

If you have small or low cost items please package them to be sold using the above parameters. No items with starting bids less than $10.00 will be accepted. A 15% commission will be charged to the seller at the time of settlement. Item registration info is available on line or at the auction room.

Items to be entered into either the “Buy it Now” or Silent Auction must be checked in at the auction room by an auction committee member, seller needs to have the following information ready if you have not filled out the electronic form available on the website.

1. Short description of the item(s)
2. Starting bid (minimum of $10.00 for “Buy it Now”, Minimum of $10.00 for Silent Auction)

If you have small or low cost items please package them accordingly.

We will begin issuing payments to the sellers on Friday, July 8th.

Bidding on Items in the Silent Auction

Place your bid and convention ID on the chit sheet that lists a description of the item and the previous bid. The minimum starting bid is $10.00 with incremental bids of $1.00. The winning bidder is the last legibly written one on the chit sheet at the close of the auction Weds. July 6th at 7:00PM. If the Auction Committee cannot come up with a consensus of the number that is written the bid will be awarded to the next legible bid. Winning Bidders will be posted Thursday morning July 7th. Pickup and settlement time will also be posted on Thursday morning July 7th. The auction Committee accepts cash or credit cards (Visa, Master Card, or Discover).

NOTES: Items for “Buy it Now” or the Silent Auction will be accepted until Tuesday, July 5th at 7:00 PM or our tables are full, which ever comes first.

ALL items not claimed after 6:00 PM Friday, July 8th become the property of the Auction Committee unless prior arrangements are made.
